Dr. Tarek Saleh
Tarek graduated from Cairo University with degrees in medicine and surgery.
He arrived in NZ in 2004 as a junior house officer in the Women’s Health Department at Waikato Hospital. Tarek went on to specialize in Gynaecology and Obstetrics and qualified as a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
With a special interest in endometriosis and pelvic pain as well as pelvic floor surgery he decided to continue with a 2 year intensified sub-specialty advanced laparoscopic training as an AGES fellow and is now the lead laparoscopic gynaecology surgeon at Waikato Hospital.
With his empathetic approach Tarek makes his patients feel comfortable and understand their problems and worries. Most important to him is to involve his patients actively in their care and improve their quality of life.
